Soy wax is a natural product (sustainable) and is made from soya beans. Soy candles burn 50% longer than other types of candles therefore giving you more candle for your money! They not only burn longer but also cleaner than paraffin candles. Soy candles are non toxic. Soy wax holds the fragrance throughout the entire candle. Soy wax, if spilt, can be cleaned with just soap and water!
Burning candles should always:
Be placed within sight
Kept out of drafts
Kept away from children and animals
Kept at least 5 cm apart
Kept away from flammable objects
Have their wicks trimmed between uses
We use glass jars for our candles, on the odd occasion the glass may break, this is beyond our control and would advise the product be discarded if this should happen.
My candle has a channel running through the middle and I'm wasting quite a lot of wax? A: You are not allowing the candle long enough to burn to the edge of the container. Each time you burn allow the wax to melt to the external edges of the glass, you will then begin the next burn with a level surface of wax.
The wick in my candle has curled over? A: This is quite normal. Just ensure the wick is about 1/4 of an inch each time you light it.
Should I use matches to light my candle? A: You should ideally always use a candle lighter to light your candles, if you choose to use matches please ensure you are careful not to drop any remnant of match in the jar as this will likely act as another wick in the jar and may cause a larger than normal flame and could cause the glass to crack.
